Leveling Kit

A truck leveling kit raises the front of your truck to even out the overall stance of the vehicle. If you rarely load your truck or haul a heavy trailer, adding a leveling kit will let you fit larger wheels and tires on your truck for a minimal investment.

The stock diameter of a tire on a GM truck or SUV that has 20 inch or 22 inch wheels is 32 inches overall.  For example, if your truck or SUV came with 275/55R20 or 285/45R22 tires, both are 32 inches overall diameter.  Trucks and SUVs manufactured after the body change in 2014 can handle a 33 inch tire with no scrubbing such as a 275/60R20.  However, there are issues with scrubbing on wider tires such as a 33/12.50R20, even on newer model trucks.

If you own a 2007-2018 GMC or Chevy truck or SUV and want a bigger tire size, the most affordable option might be a leveling kit. We offer the Rugged Offroad 2.0" Leveling Kit as an add-on for our larger sized tire packages. You will need to determine if this is something you feel you can do yourself or hire a professional to do for you. See the installation instructions below.
