GMC and Chevy Fitment Guide

Fitment Guide for Chevy and GMC 1500 Vehicles​​​​​​

*2019 and newer GM Trucks (new body style) and 2021 and newer GM SUVs require the spokes of the wheel to clear the new style brake caliper that GM puts on their new trucks and SUVs. Wheels that do NOT specifically say they fit a 2019 and newer truck or SUV will scrub on the brake caliper and will not work. If the fitment chart says that it fits 2000-current year model, then they will work with the new brake calipers. Please call us if you have questions. 

TPMS Sensors:

Tire Pressure Sensors use different frequencies to communicate the tire pressure to your vehicle. For GM vehicles, these have changed throughout the year models. Here is a reference chart. It is important that you choose the correct year, make and model from the drop down boxes to ensure the correct sensor is used. If you are unsure what model you have, you can call us with your VIN and we can check for you.

GM TPMS Frequency by Model Year

• 2004–2020 GM Full-Size SUVs — 315 MHz
  Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, and Cadillac Escalade
• 2021–Current GM Full-Size SUVs — 433 MHz Version 1
  Beginning with the redesigned 2021 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Escalade, GM moved these SUVs to 433 MHz TPMS sensors. These newer sensors are not interchangeable with the older 315 MHz sensors simply because the wheels themselves fit.
• 2007–2018 (and 2019 LD) GM 1500 Trucks — 315 MHz
  Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, as well as Avalanche, from 2004 through 2018 use 315 MHz TPMS sensors. In early 2019, the LD trucks were manufactured prior to the refresh.
• 2019-2022 Limited GM Trucks — 433 MHz Version 2
  Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks during this short time frame went to a different version of the 433 MHz and these TPMS are not compatible with any other year models or makes. In the beginning of 2022, the Limited trucks were manufactured prior to the refresh.
• 2022–Current GM Trucks — 433 MHz Version 1
  Starting with the newer-generation Silverado and Sierra, GM started using the same sensors that are used on the SUVs since 2021 and 433 MHz Version 1 became the standard frequency for new vehicles.
• 2024 and newer Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon use the 433 MHz Version 1

Important: TPMS frequency is determined by the vehicle receiving the wheels, not by the year of the wheels themselves. For example, a set of 2023 Tahoe wheels can physically fit an older Tahoe, but the original 433 MHz sensors in those wheels will not communicate with a 2018 Tahoe that requires 315 MHz sensors.

Tire Size

2014 and newer model trucks and SUVs will fit 33 inch tires with no issues.  2013 and older require a level or lift due to the overall diameter of 33 inches.  Without a level or lift, they will scrub. Buyer is responsible for verifying fitment prior to ordering. Examples of 33" tires are 275/60R20, 275/50R22, 33x12.50R20, 285/40R24. Examples of 32" tires, which were the stock size for GM up until 2019, are 275/55R20, 285/45R22, 275/65R18, 295/35R24.  Please note that width of a tire could also scrub on older model trucks and SUVs. Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon changed bolt patterns in 2024 and now have the same bolt pattern, 6x139.7, as the full size trucks.
